Some of my achievements since being elected are:

• Drove the C182 Planning Scheme Amendment to address overdevelopment in Greater Dandenong which has just been accepted by State Government.
• Initiated improved consultation with residents with the introduction of online consultation using the OurSay tool and the public being able to join advisory committees and community reference groups.
• Fought to protect and enhance open space, including helping to save part of Glendale Reserve in Springvale from being sold off, and fought for the retention and better management of the Greater Dandenong Green Wedge.
• Initiated the Greater Dandenong Volunteer Service.
• Co-initiated the Greater Dandenong Asylum Seeker and Refugee Community Action Plan.
• Re-invigorated the Environment and Sustainability agenda in Greater Dandenong, leading to the Annual Greater Dandenong Sustainability Festival and Greater Dandenong Sustainability Awards.
• Drove the development of the new Greater Dandenong Sustainability Strategy 2016-2030, which is the first broad-based corporate and community sustainability strategy for our City.
• Strengthened our advocacy campaign for gambling reform so we are now taking a leading role state-wide by being a founding member of the Alliance for Gambling Reform
• Started arts and heritage initiatives like the The Hive Creative Arts Network, the Greater Dandenong Short Film Festival and the dedicated Greater Dandenong Heritage Archive facility to preserve the history of Greater Dandenong for generations to come.
• Initiated the broad-based Access, Inclusion and Diversity Policy to recognise all diversity in Greater Dandenong.
